Alyssa Hanson’s commanding but honest voice navigates her audience through emotional and complex music inspired by influences spanning Chopin, Billie Holiday, and Regina Spektor. In Alyssa’s debut EP, Gone, she writes poetically and poignantly of a longing and search for a return home. Her music compels audiences with musical contradictions; her lyrics are both raw and defined, her compositions both classical and whimsical, and her voice both smooth and haunting. Alyssa Hanson is a Chicago-based singer-songwriter originally from Amery, WI. She is joined by the effervescently talented and accomplished local guitarist, Dustin DeGolier.
